Welcome! You are enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Management. At the moment you are enjoying a well-deserved holiday and soon you will be part of our VIVES community. More than 3,000 fellow students and a motivated teaching staff are about to welcome you soon! A new challenge in your life!

Introductory session

To find your way around right away, we organise an introductory session on Thursday 14 September 2023 at 1.30 PM (room 60.11 – end of the session will be around 5.30 PM). We welcome you in the Commercial Sciences and Business Administration building of VIVES Kortrijk via the entrance at Steenbakkersstraat. You will get to know the ins and outs of our department and you will meet your fellow students. On that day, you will also be informed about the timetable. In addition, you will receive a lot of practical information to get off to a good start, you can buy books and courses, and so on. There will also be a mandatory IT introduction session on that day. Therefore, it is advisable to bring your laptop so that you can install all VIVES tools on your laptop and start the first day of classes smoothly. In short, a day not to be missed!

Course and book sale

Courses and books can be purchased during the introductory moment. An estimate of the costs for the manuals and courses can be found below. Make sure you have your student card at hand to buy your books and courses. Please note that you can only pay with Bancontact (no VISA, Mastercard or cash). Make sure you have enough balance on your account and bring a bag or box to put the purchased courses and/or manuals in.

If you missed the introductory moment or if you can not attend, you can go to the webshop https://web.vives.be/cursusshop/ as from 4 September to buy your courses. You can pick up your ordered courses free of charge at the campus or have them sent to you (shipping costs will be charged). The courses are sold per semester. In September, only the courses of the first semester and year courses are sold. We plan a second sale at the start of the 2nd semester.

For your books, please go to the webshop of Standaard Boekhandel https://www.standaardstudentshop.be. Ordered books can be picked up for free at the campusshop (Doorniksesteenweg 151) or sent to you by post (shipping costs will be charged).

VIVES University of Applied Sciences does not organise a sale of second-hand books.

These costs of study per phase* (each phase corresponds to one of the 3 different years) include book and course costs, costs for study visits and other costs related to the programme.
