The Nursing and Midwifery team welcomes you at VIVES! The Health Care department of VIVES Bruges offers, besides some paramedical study programmes, programmes in nursing and midwifery.
Nurses and midwives work from a relational, care-ethical vision. They take diversity into account and provide care in dialogue. In addition, nurses and midwives provide scientifically and legally based care and are active in the field of preventive care. Nurses work together in an intra- and interdisciplinary way and monitor and promote the quality of their thinking and acting. Nurses are creative, enterprising and integrate sustainability into their activities.
The practical training will take place in the wide area of Bruges. Several hospitals receive Erasmus-students for clinical training, depending on the specific wards asked. An internship in elderly care centers and homecare is possible. Other placements are possible depending on the availability of the hospital and the time of application.
