Exchange programme for Animal Care

1st and 2nd semester at VIVES campus Roeselare

Train to become a professional animal caretaker, specialised in wildlife or veterinary assistance.

In our Animal Care programme, you learn about (exotic) animals, explore the work field, interact with other students and discuss sustainability. You learn to monitor wildlife and specialise in veterinary assistance techniques.

What will I Learn?

Animal care covers a wide range of animals: it varies from a domestic hamster over a goat at a farm to an elephant in a wildlife nature reserve. If you're looking to enhance animal wellbeing, this programme is right up your alley.

Taking care of animals has many aspects. Food, housing, and actual care are all part of the job. You learn about animal behaviour, but also get into to scientific part with courses like anatomy, physiology, biology and inorganic chemistry. Combined with specialisation trajectories, pratical exercises and perhaps even an internship, you fully experience what it's like to be a professional animal caretaker.
