Sports

Usually, studying involves sitting (almost) motionlessly for hours on end on your desk chair; this really compromises your healthy dose of movement. The VIVES Student Facilities Department (Stuvo) does not like to see this happen, and has a number of plans in place to enable VIVES students to partake in sports cheaply and happily.

During the winter months, you can enjoy the urban swimming pool for just one euro when presenting your student card, and throughout the year we also organize numerous sports activities, from wall climbing to diving initiation. As a VIVES student, you can also use the two sports fields in the Royal Stables completely free of charge (after booking). You can play football, basketball, volleyball ... You can also borrow free sports equipment from your student secretariat. Footballs, basketballs and volleyballs are at your disposal, as well as a badminton set and a frisbee. You will receive them upon presentation of your student card and upon payment of a small deposit.

Student initiatives

The Student Facilities Department has a hand in providing all kinds of fun, cultural and sporting activities on and around your campus throughout the academic year. Are you still a little hungry for sports, and would you like to organize something for your fellow students? Don't hesitate to mail our sports assistant Lies Lammaing (lies.lammaing@vives.be). If you meet a number of conditions, you will receive logistical and financial support for your initiative!

Competitions

The VIVES sports teams are ready to make their presence felt in the Flemish competition for universities and colleges. The jerseys are ready, now we need some motivated players to turn our teams into real dream teams!
