The brand new Flemish Aviation Training Centre (VLOC), located at Ostend Airport, is the starting point for the VIVES Bachelor's programmes in aviation. The main objective of this centre is to provide training, refresher courses or conversion for current and future staff in the aviation sector through private-public cooperation. The VLOC is realised with financial support from VIVES, the Flemish government, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Province of West Flanders.
Technists who are interested in aviation get to know all aspects of aviation in their aeronautical engineering studies: aircraft, helicopters, engines, systems, structures, mechanics, electronics, materials, instruments, etc. Even the less well known subjects such as quality assurance, safety, human factors and drones are examined.
